Quite the founder of hipster cool, Band of Outsiders, had been working with heritage shoe company, Sperry Top-Sider, famed for its boat shoes, for a few seasons now. While the idea of boat shoes seems to be quite seasonally dependent, equating it to summer, lake houses and lounging on decks, Band of Outsiders has decided to challenge that concept and make it relevant even for the colder fall and winter months.
Is that even possible? If boat shoes have managed to leave boats and have enjoyed quite a prevalent presence in the city, there is no reason why they won’t work in the winter. The key is, using the right material, and Band of Outsiders nailed it with a puffer inspired nylon upper. This time around, the boat shoes are married with the Chukkah boot to give an warmer, enveloping presence. The shoes are covered in nylon, lined with warm oxford, and given the classic boat shoe leather laces to keep the Sperry Top-Sider shoes true to its roots. Oh, let’s not forget the patented Sperry deck soles.
Don’t want to give up boat shoes for winter? These are now available at the Tres Bien Shop.

based on the concept of the japanese convenience store, 24 issey miyake shops combine
inexpensive prices, a large variety of colours and frequent changes in the product lineup.
nendo have created their latest store.the miyake team wanted a new design concept for the 24 issey miyake shop in shibuya's
parco shopping complex, which includes a store that specially features miyake's new bilbao bag.
the bilbao bag stand on the steel rodsthe bilbao bag has no set form. instead, it settles depending on how it is placed. to match
the bag, nendo abandoned the standard hard, flat and smooth fixtures found in most shops,
and created a set of variable-height fixtures made of thin steel rods that stand like a field
of prairie grass in the shop, with a similar vague, undefined shape like the bag.
the bilbao bags
shelving and hanger rods are also made of steel rods, with a 7mm diameter common to
all of the 24 issey miyake shop interiors. supported by 'points', rather than by surfaces
or lines, the bags seem to float in the air, creating the illusion of a field of flowers in the store.
